Reaching Out, Training More.
We praise God that HTC has been able to star t an extension studies Certificate in Theology. In partnership with Prison Fellowship of Zimbabwe, 15 prisoners at Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison & Harare Central Prison have already completed two courses & are working towards the full certificate. Prison guards have commented to chaplains about the dramatic change in the moral character of the participating prisoners. Please pray for these men as they go deeper in the Word towards transformational rehabilitation. Pray that the Lord would use these men for Him in the prisons & upon their release.
New Extension Sites
Please pray with us as we have been contacted by interested pastors who are too far away to attend HTC. We have been asked to start extension studies programs in Bulawayo, Masvingo, & Mutoko. These courses are audio recorded lectures timed to PowerPoints & specifically tailored to an extension studies student. Please pray for the Lord’s blessings on these new initiatives - that God’s church will have numerous well trained men & women serving in it as a result.
Accreditation Updates
HTC is working with three entities to maintain our local, regional, & international accreditations. Please pray as we work with the Ministry of Higher Education to secure our 2013 registration with this essential government department. Please pray that this process will be straightforward & that the needed documentation would be forthcoming.
HTC has been asked to affiliate or associate with a Zimbabwean university since we are awarding Bachelor’s Degrees. Please pray for this process with the University of Zimbabwe which has been underway for the past year or two. Please pray that this relationship would be mutually edifying & encouraging.
HTC also is re-accrediting with our Pan -African/International accrediting body, ACTEA. This is an extensive exercise and takes years to complete. We are hoping to have all our documentation into ACTEA by years end. Please pray that this process will go well & be used of the Lord to help us continue to improve & offer internationally recognized high calibre instruction right here in Zimbabwe at affordable prices.
Seeking You!
One misconception people have about HTC is that it is only for pastors. Actually, our mission is to train leaders for the church in Zimbabwe. While many of our students are in full time ministry or training for such, quite a number are just like you: Sunday School teachers, small group leaders, deacons, new Christians wanting to go deeper in their understanding of Jesus. We offer both credit courses or you can simply audit (no papers to write, no exams to take). Many folks desire to know the Bible better and to have Biblical answers to common questions. HTC is here to serve you! Prayerfully consider joining us. Please contact us for details.
